Practice Jerseys and Race Kits

As a part of your team membership fee practice jerseys are provided. Your race kits will need to be purchased separately. This does not need to be done prior to the season starting. During registration we will find out the athletes size for the practice jersey. During pre-season ordering for the required race kit will be placed through the vendor Hyperthreads.

  • Like most communication with the team, you will be notified via TeamSnap when it’s time to order. Do not miss this deadline, as it is impossible to order after the deadline. One of the local bike shops will have kits to test for sizing in the weeks leading up to the order deadline.

  • Each Spring, after team registration, there is a 1-2 week period in which riders can try on all types of race gear. Generally speaking, gear is true to size, except the Baggy race shorts run an average of 2 sizes big. So, a rider in a size M tight race bib may need an XS in baggy shorts. Baggy shorts can be adjusted somewhat at the waist. Teammates who have ridden in the past are also a great resource.

  • No. Baggy race shorts must be paired with baggy race shirts. Tight race bib/short must be paired with Continental Jersey front zip race top.

  • You do not, but we recommend that every rider purchase a race kit. You cannot order a kit after the deadline, which is very early in the season. It is common for riders to start the season stating they don’t wish to race but change their minds later. No race kit means no option to race.

  • No. Once the deadline has passed, we cannot order more kits. Please watch for an email with information on how and when to order your kit.

  • As long as the design of the last season’s kit matches the design of the current kit, there is no issue. We have not updated the design of our kits in years, so that is the case for now. In future seasons, that may not be the case; once a design is updated, a new kit is required for every rider.

  • Kits are usually mailed to your home around the end of July, well before the first race.

  • Your race kits are reserved strictly for racing during the season. Because they are not replaceable, they should be kept in perfect condition. After the season, you may use them however you wish. You’re welcome to practice in old kits if you order new kits every year.

  • Practice jerseys usually arrive sometime in June. You may use them however you wish but can’t race in them. You are only allowed to race in official team kits.
